Introduction

The following terms and conditions shall apply to the contract between the organiser of the subject Conference and related post-conference courses (“the Supplier”) and the person attending the conference (“the Delegate”) in respect of the supply of goods and services to the Delegate by the Supplier.

Definitions

In these terms and conditions:

“Confidential Information” means all confidential information passing from the Supplier or its Personnel relating to its or their business and whether disclosed before or after the holding of the Conference and including but not limited to all course materials created or supplied by the Supplier to the Delegate;

“IP Rights” means all intellectual property rights (present and future) anywhere in the world relating to any Confidential Information, copyright, business names and logos, database rights, designs, software and all applications to register or protect such rights. Ownership of and IP Rights in all of the materials supplied at the Conference remains vested at all times in the Supplier;

“Personnel” means any and all officers, employees, agents and contractors of the Supplier.

Payment, Refund Policy and Substitute Delegates

3.1   Full payment for the cost of the Delegate’s attendance at the Conference or post-conference related courses, including VAT, shall be due at the time of booking.

3.2   No refund of any part of the booking fee will be made in any circumstances.

3.3   If any Delegate shall find after making his/her booking that he/she cannot attend the event, then he/she shall be entitled to nominate a substitute Delegate to attend, subject to payment of an administration fee of £75.00, but no such transfer shall be allowed less than 72 hours before the scheduled start of the Conference and related post-conference courses.

3.4   Travel expenses, accommodation, meals and refreshments are not included. Delegates should settle any amounts owing directly with the venue.

Delegate Release, Authorisation and Undertaking

4.1 The Austin Hypnotherapy Conference and related post-conference courses may not be recorded on audio, photo and / or film. By purchasing a ticket you agree to being used in any programme or product made from these recordings without royalties. This must be agreed to or entry may be refused.

4.2 Delegates acknowledge that by allowing themselves to volunteer or otherwise take part in any hypnotic session or training, all responsibility for such actions shall be borne by themselves, and release the organisers and/or the relevant presenter and/or course co-ordinator and all other persons present from all liability for attendance and for taking part and for any implications or subsequent consequences.

4.3 Delegates are prohibited from reproducing, reselling, lending or giving away any videos, tapes/ books/other products that may be purchased or given by the organisers or their agents, and from teaching or training any of Valerie Austin’s techniques, skills & unique knowledge or imparting such to others.

4.4 Whilst attending the above conference all delegates are prohibited from soliciting any other delegate for business and from selling or promoting the sale of any videos/tapes/books/other products for personal gain.

4.5 Delegates are prohibited from making any unauthorised recording, photography or video.

Privacy Policy

5.1 We may collect and process the following data about you:

– Information that you provide by filling in forms on this site (our site). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.

– Information that you provide to us when attending any of our events.

– If you contact us by post, email, telephone or otherwise, we may keep a record of that correspondence and we may process any information that you provide to us.

– We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

– Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.

– Details of your visits to our site and the resources that you access.

5.2   Credit Card Details: We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

5.3   IP Addresses: We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

5.4   Cookies: For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. Some of the cookies we use are essential for the site to operate.

Cancellation

6.1   The content of any specific event at the conference or post-conference courses is subject to cancellation or amendment at any time without prior notification.

6.2   Speakers may be subject to change or cancellation at any time without prior notification.

6.3   If the Supplier is obliged to cancel or withdraw an event due to circumstances beyond the Supplier’s control, Delegates will be entitled to transfer to an identical conference to commence within 12 months of the cancelled eveent.

Confidentiality

7.1   A Delegate may apply information supplied in the course of seminars at the Conference, post-conference courses and in course materials for his/her personal use or in the course of his/her own professional practice only.

7.2   Any other Confidential Information shall only be disclosed to employees or agents of the Delegate who need to know the same and used only for the purposes of this contract.

7.3   These confidentiality obligations shall survive completion of this contract.

Indemnity

8. The Delegate shall indemnify the Supplier and its Personnel against any loss, damage, liability, cost and expense arising out of any unlawful act or omission of the Delegate whether arising from the Delegate’s failure to respect IP Rights, or his/her failure to comply with these terms and conditions, or otherwise.

General

9.1   The Supplier shall not be liable for any delay of failure to perform any obligation contained in or implied by this contract if the same is caused by any circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

9.2   The Supplier retains the right in its absolute discretion to refuse entry to the Conference and/or post-conference courses for, or to eject any person whose behaviour is regarded by the Supplier or any of its Personnel to be or to have been unreasonable or likely to cause disruption.

9.3   This contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
